“万人计划”首批科技创新领军人才，“国家百千万人才工程”入选者，黑龙江省“头雁”团队负责人。当选欧洲科学院外籍院士（Foreign Member of Academia Europaea），现任国际复合材料委员会副主席、中国复合材料学会副理事长，中国增材制造产业联盟专家委员会副主任委员、教育部力学专业教学指导委员会委员、中国力学学会物理专业委员会副主任。长期从事智能结构力学、设计及应用方面研究，发表SCI论文280余篇，SCI引用5100余次，出版3部中英文论著，授权国家发明专利112项、国际专利3项。获国家自然科学二等奖1项（排名一）。当选美国科学促进会（AAAS）、国际光学工程学会（SPIE）、英国物理学会（IOP）、英国皇家航空学会（RAeS）、英国材料、矿石和冶金学会（IMMM）等多个国际学会会士（Fellow），并获国际复合材料委员会（International Committee on Composite Materials，ICCM）World Fellow奖（2017年）、第二届全国创新争先奖（2020年）。
